Fund objective

The principal objective of the Company is to achieve as high a level of current income as is consistent with the preservation of capital and the maintenance of liquidity by investing in a diversified portfolio of money market instruments.

Permitted investments

The fund may invest in, but is not restricted to, certificates of deposit (CD), commercial paper, medium-term notes (MTNs), variable rate notes (VRNs), floating rate notes (FRNs), bankers acceptances, government bonds, treasury bills, Eurobonds, asset-backed securities and corporate bonds.

Credit rating

Short-term transferable securities which at the time of purchase have a credit rating of at least A-1/P-1 (or its equivalent) from a recognised credit rating agency such as Standard & Poor's or Moody's.

Sweep Facility

The HSBC Sweep Facility provides an automated solution for uninvested cash balances by automatically moving uninvested cash between the Corporate Account and HSBC Corporate Money Funds. This innovative cash management service provides money market returns while retaining the convenience of full operating account access.
